I have seen this book everywhere the past few months it seems! Blogs, book clubs, recommendations in various places. After putting The Help on hold at the library and being somewhere around 30th on the list at the time, it finally was my turn last week. It was good. I read the whole thing in about two days without completely neglecting my children (though sacrificing sleep and packing time to do so!). It was disturbing in the kind of way that we all probably need to be disturbed. I haven't ever lived in the South, and find it hard to comprehend sometimes, the way things have been there in the not-so-distant past, but really enjoyed the insight into that culture that this story gave.
