Craftiness

While the majority of our Christmas shopping is finished, several gifts require some "work." This is the first of 3-4 similar ones to be made. The others are in progress, but are not done yet. This is a page from the 30/30 project:
I haven't completed all the pages, but have done multiple versions of certain ones. Participating in that really helped to get some pages done for our albums. I anticipate continuing to work through those daily pages, and coming back to them for future inspiration.

Last year, an attempt was made to follow along with the December Daily album project 2008 on this blog. It was a good experience, but also a learning one: I made it too complicated (typical), which meant it became too time-consuming among other things. In the end, I felt that I would rather have had the Christmas/December memories in our regular albums. (I have weird issues with things not being all together in chronological order.) And (ahem) there are still some bits of it that aren't finished.

In the end, I concluded that it wasn't something that I should attempt again and had written it off as educational experience. That was until I spotted these little chipboard books in the $1 bins at Michael's a week or two ago and changed my mind. :) They are about 6" wide, and there were other shapes. We'll see how it goes this time, but the plan is to try and keep it more SIMPLE! There is a lot going on in this time period and a lot of other higher priority things to be accomplished, but if the time spent on it can be kept down, hopefully it will be a fun thing to hold and look at in the end!
