Grateful Day 19: S

Successes, no matter how small!

If you've read this blog for a while, you might have seen posts about the trials of baking cakes at high altitude. This week I made a cake that did NOT have a pothole in the middle. Well, at least not an unplanned one, as it was a bundt cake, which as you know, has a hole of its own. The other success factor in this, was that the majority of bundt cakes I have tried to make in my lifetime, have stuck to the pan no matter how much greasing and flouring and specifically following the directions I did. But not only did this one not cave in through the middle, it came out all in one piece!

Woohoo! (This was a pumpkin cake that started with a box yellow cake mix. The recipe was in one of our school books. It turned out very moist, besides looking normal!)
