For some reason, many years back, I started making cream pies because my dad likes them (well, the rest of us do too). One piece of this baby will fill your fat and calorie requirements for a whole day if not two or three, so we only make it when my parents come. Yum! And whoever invented those pie guards (like the one it is sitting on) was a genius. As you can see, it has caught many a spillover and spared the bottom of the oven.
