Good read

A while back Emily blogged about the book Endurance by Alfred Lansing about the Antarctic expedition of Sir Ernest Shackleton from 1914-1916. You can read more about it at Emily's post linked above, or search online and find out quite a bit. The book was really fascinating. Highly recommend it! I checked it out of the library and read it last week while we were on vacation. This is how we read on vacation - in the bathroom after the kids have gone to bed.
This place we stayed about half of the time we were gone had enough room to pull two chairs in to sit on. The rest of the time we sat on the edge of the tub (I did anyway). No pictures of that though.

I found that there is a version of the book with a forward by Dr. Dobson available here. And here is a collection of photos.

  2. Sounds like a great read!!

Love the temporary office. Or is that "library"?? I have heard of the bathroom referred to it like that - just never knew of anyone who took it literally! ROFL!
