Guest blog

This email from a friend and reader cracked me up and I asked permission to share it, which she graciously gave. I'm going to edit it just a bit to protect her anonymity.

I feel famous - I was mentioned in the highly acclaimed blog Breakfast at Tiffani's. I'm not sure if watching your life via the blog makes me feel more under the pile or more motivated. I know I'm not suppose to compare but reading books, making bread - heck making dinner haven't happened in my world in a long time. I'd be hard pressed to come up with anything to blog about. An entry would consist of: Had the day off, yelled at the kids, cleaned the house, yelled at the kids, got some groceries, yelled at the kids, sent them to bed, wasted too much time on the computer, went to bed.
Not a very good read. Although I could come up with some pretty good blog material from work like customer handing out business cards - by the way he's a stripper. Or confrontation with ex army guy/firefighter that nearly results in violence.

First of all, there are many, many days when I could echo her first proposed entry. As a matter of fact, this morning kind of went that way, especially after I found out something else was added in to the next 48 hours, but we still have to have the garage sale. Poor kids ended up getting the brunt of that frustration. Of course it didn't help that they weren't doing what they were told...

On that note, back to work.

  1. LOL! I've had days like your friend mentioned. =/

But I've never seen a business card from a stripper....

And I can't understand why kids never get the connection between a parent's frustration level and their lack of listening??!!
