deep thoughts and a dog

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. I John 2:15-17
This one little word struck me in this verse this week and had this feeling that some of my blogging has fallen into this area. I will try to be more alert to this, though I enjoy reading other blogs and seeing what people have made/done/learned/thought and not felt that it was boastful.

The stray black chihuahua is still here. We put up signs today. He is NOT going to stay though B (our animal lover) is completely smitten and hasn't been able concentrate on anything else since he showed up. It would be more tempting to keep him if we didn't already have Sparky. He's a nice dog and doesn't have too many annoying traits besdies a tendency to whine if shut away from people.
