Mother's Day fare

We had a decent crowd for Mother's Day dinner, which was the perfect excuse to make this lemony, Perfect Party Cake. After reading about it in the blog posts linked, I found the book at the library and gave it a go. My one alteration was to find a slightly less fattening frosting to take the total butter count for the whole cake down from 4 sticks, to 3. Every little bit counts, right?
