While blog-hopping recently, the challenge to try something new at least once every week this year came up (here is where I first read it, I believe). I'm avoiding formally committing to anything that isn't necessary or that we haven't already committed to at this point, because it is impossible to build relationships with people when over involved, but this still sounded fun to think about. Most of my new things will probably be recipes, though there are a few new things I'd like to learn to do, new places to explore, and so forth.
Here is one of the first:Polenta Apricot Pudding Cake from an Easy Italian cookbook. It reminded me of Geoff's grandma, and is a fairly low-fat dessert. We all had some for breakfast the next day, too! Hey, it had orange juice in it! That's a breakfast food, right?
