Hello again! I'm still here.

2010 is going to go down in my personal history as having been a very big year, and it's not over yet! I turned 40 and moved cross country back to the area I grew up in after having been away for about 15 years. Hence the absence from the blog in the past several weeks. It was a rather fast decision and move and still hasn't all sunk in, and probably won't for years to come. There have been many thoughts on the topic of what it means to move, but little time to write them down and I don't want to miss out on the value of recording them in some fashion as the whole process and experience provides much fodder for contemplation and potential growth. It has been a reminder of the importance of having an eternal perspective as well. This is not our eternal home.
I read a post of blogging tips this morning that made me stop and think what my purpose is for this space, and hope there will be some time to more carefully consider and define that again. Hopefully, too, you will begin to "see" me around here more as things settle down a bit, for now, till we move again sometime in the next year to a more "permanent" home.

  1. big years have a way of changing our lives...and bringing blessings from the most uncommon places. congratulations on the move and I'll be praying calmness and peace for you as you settle in and get adjusted to your surroundings. It sounds like a pretty monumental move you just made. That takes courage.
