I am so grateful for uninterrupted alone time, a rare commodity in our life stage with the choices we've made for family and schooling.
As a matter of fact, it is almost necessary for me to "make it" and one of a small handful of things that, when received in adequate measures, can even enable me to "thrive" (mentally anyway). I am thankful for a husband who does what he can to give me the gift of alone time. And when his schedule is too full to do so for a period of time, I am thankful for the ability to be able to function adequately on less than optimum quantities of sleep for a period of time. (In other words, alone time is more important and necessary than sleep is to me.)
