BREAKFAST at you-know-where!

Perhaps this idea has occurred to everyone but me before, but while grabbing the milk out of the fridge this morning to make banana pancakes, the strawberries caught my eye and breakfast-heaven-on-a-plate was born! (Truthfully it was more like dessert, but we like dessert around here!) There are no photos to highlight this experience - so sorry. They tasted better than they looked anyway. The strawberry-banana flavor combo has long been a personal favorite.

your favorite pancake batter recipe
cut up strawberries
mashed bananas
Mix together and cook as usual. Top with chopped toasted pecans, whipped topping, and syrup, if you allow it at your house.

Yuuuuummmmmm! No leftovers today! We're having them again tomorrow, too! These may trump pumpkin as our (or at least my) favorite pancake flavor around here.

This reminded me of an old favorite recipe from the early days of our marraige for strawberry banana jam. May have to make some of that this year, too!

  1. I haven't tried the banana/ strawberry combo but my husband LOVES strawberry pancakes. My kids and I like M&M's in ours! =P
